But actually, it feels anything but normal... early to bed, early up in the morning instead of comfortably hanging around until midnight; being home in the afternoon on time because the kids' time expires at 8 pm (it gets 9 pm anyway); then another hurried 2 hours before it's time to catch some sleep myself before the alarm clock rings again at 6.30 am... doesn't feel normal at all :-/
More so, today was Adrian's first day at school! We almost forgot about it!! But somehow, the first day in Year One is not such a big deal here. Transition from Kindergarten to Reception Class and then to Year One is so smooth, it could pass almost unnoticed. Especially since there is no such thing like a "Schultüte" (first-day-of-school-cornet). But luckily it finally didn't pass unnoticed, and and here's the proof :-)
